Are you looking for free directories to submit to? There are literally thousands of web directories available today. Almost every day a new web directory is being created and it is difficult to judge the quality and relevance of these websites. But you never know which website will be ranked high by the search engines when the next round of indexing happens.

Today the site may be free and ranked low but next week the same site may be ranked high in the search engines with high page rank and become a paid service! So, how to judge free directories to submit to?

Many of my clients are small business owners who have initially attempted to perform their own internet marketing campaigns. They often rush to put together their web sites without considering the end user. Quite often they even dive into Pay Per Click ad campaigns for these sites and then wonder why things aren’t working as they hoped. Search is moving more and more toward “trust” and trust is being evaluated on much more than just the number of links from authority sites. User experience is an integral part of the mix and an increasingly important one.

For the first time in many years, I had the privilege (misfortune) to receive (be tormented by) a Multi-Level Marketing presentation (assault). There are many obvious reasons why I have a strong disdain for MLM…probably no different than anyone else´s. Fortunately as time moves on, the rising popularity of social media should greatly reduce the effectiveness of MLM 1.0 as a business process, hopefully causing its practitioners to abandon its use. From the ashes of MLM 1.0 should arise a much more pleasant methodology of leveraging relationships via social media to make sales (aka MLM 2.0).

Sick of adwords, directory submissions, social bookmarking and various online traffic generating methods? well don’t be, since those methods really work. However right now im not here to talk to you on them, I’m going to write about something different, actually totally opposite. Offline marketing!

Most people spend countless dollars and time on online marketing. Not that its not important, but most bloggers or webmasters are missing an important aspect of Marketing. How often have you thought of promoting your website or blog to the outside world without the internet? I myself never thought about it until a few weeks ago, and trust me that move was very rewarding.

I disagree with the comment made by some web developers that all the good domain names are taken. Search engine optimization, or seo, does not depend heavily on the www name you select. For my clients just starting out the decision choosing small business website names has never been an issue. It is a fact that all the 3 character and 4 character domain names with the key extensions are taken. Furthermore, I agree that a vast number of choice domain names are no longer available; however, the selection of a suitable www domain for your small business is possible if you remain flexible.

Search engine marketing campaign is an effective tool for business owners to create branding on the Internet and get more quality leads through major search engines such as Google, Yahoo and MSN. But for some people, search engine marketing can seem to be a daunting topic for them.

Ever changing technology and algorithms, endless opportunity to advertise and complex solutions all make search engine marketing seems to be a task that is too hard for business owners to handle. However, there are 4 basic tips that you can follow which will make your search engine marketing campaign more effective and eventually achieve your marketing goals.

If you are trying to increase your productivity on social media sites, here are a few things to keep in mind:

- Don’t be selfish or greedy. Like in real life, people want nothing to do with someone who is just looking out for themselves. Show some understanding and interest in other’s lives and work, and you will see the same.

In a previous article (which I cannot link to here) I wrote that a search engine friendly website is not the same as a search engine optimized website. I’m using that as a jump off point for this article on the topic of building a search engine friendly website. The purpose is to simply highlight a few of the aspects that comprise a SE friendly (not necessarily optimized) website.
