There’s little doubt that the bathroom is probably one of the most used rooms in the house. But sometimes, in terms of design and remodeling, it’s one of the most neglected. Sometimes bathroom renovation only happens when a leak or some other plumbing problem develops. It’s true that leaking, moisture and dampness are signals that a renovation is needed. But today’s bathrooms are also becoming much more of a personal retreat and are getting more attention in terms of renovation and design.

If you are looking for the one piece of advice that will help, you propel yourself into cold calling record books for success you should only look to your phone for help. After all, it is only you, the phone involved in the transaction, and all that stands between you and a sale is the phone. If you are looking to ultimately succeed at cold calling then you have to master keeping someone on the phone.

The first thing to remember is that tools can be dangerous and should not be thrown at one another. We did not actually throw any tools at each other. And we had been married long enough when we installed our laminate flooring to know that yelling at each other gets us no where. But there were some tense moments. We were fortunate that our only real injuries were an assortment of aches and pains in new and not so interesting places.

It doesn’t matter which product or service is being sold or which geographical area is involved, the results are almost always the same. Ten to twenty percent of the salespeople are sales masters, ten to twenty percent are a disgrace to the profession and the rest are just scraping by. If you were to ask any of them if they wanted to be successful, most would tell you that they do.

Working with different people and dealing with them through phone calls don’t have to be something you should only do because you need to and because you haven’t had the chance to introduce your insurance business to this particular person.

Taking care of your incoming prospects and existing customers doesn’t only end as soon as they hire you and your services. You need to continually operate as a good insurance provider and agent for them. They also need to know necessary notices (new ones are most important); don’t wait until they ask so they won’t feel unimportant nor ignored at all. Also, never wait for them to ask or inquire about something very important because this will only make them think that you are not disclosing necessary information.

I just listened to the very first podcast from PC Pro magazine – it was an interesting discussion based on the age old question, “Which are better, Macs or PCs?”

After a pragmatic and rational analysis, the Mac was shot down and the PC won the argument soundly. But can you really answer this sort of question with a discussion. To me its sort of reminiscent to when as kids we would argue over who would win in fight between the Incredible Hulk and Superman. It’s obviously a question of personal tastes and we’re all different. Sort of like having a serious debate whether the Rolling Stones were better than the Beatles?

Record high occupancy rates are becoming a slight hurdle for apartmentites in finding a new place to live. If you love where you currently live, the pool, fitness center, closet space, and the neighbor’s dog-then by all means stay-you’re doing great. But if you’re thinking you might like a change when your lease expires- HEADS UP!

Vacancy’s down, occupancy is up. Why? Well you don’t have to be a brilliant apartmentite to clue into the fact that it’s still cheaper to rent than to own. Some journalists are making noise about a housing slowdown. Call me crazy, but when I hear “slowdown” I think of falling prices and that’s just not happening. House prices remain in the middle to upper stratosphere and that has more of us choosing (quite wisely in my view) to rent our homes.

Many of us have had the misfortune to be stuck around in airport lounges, waiting for our delayed flight to depart. In this article we examine methods to avoid the associated boredom.

Being stuck at an airport for hours on end can be a draining experience. Even the world’s largest airports make less than ideal locations to spend more than an hour or so.

From the uncomfortable chairs to the loud announcements, it seems that airport lounges are not conducive to relaxing. Although many airports will include a number of stores within the airport terminal buildings, such stores are often over-priced, making the entire experience even less pleasurable.

“She is like the merchant ships, bringing her food from afar.”
Proverbs 31:14

As women, one of the most important responsibilities we take on is food provision for our families. If we do not stay on guard, we can come to see this as a dreaded duty instead of a blessing to the ones we love so dearly.
